So why is it such a beloved tensioner? It could be the way the main shaft is twisted, putting an angle on the paddles, providing a more comfortable application of pressure. It could be the additional shaft before the paddles that the copies fail to include. Or is it the strange little 'V' cuts at the end of the paddles? You just need to try it to find out why it's one of the lock picking tools we get asked for the most!
Designed and made by lock pickers for lock pickers. Tension is key to lock picking, and this tension tool is all about lock picking. Tension isn't a problem when it's this pleasurable. Perfection in a wrench. Bring any pick set to life with the addition of this wrench.
This, the ORIGINAL design of the ZEDWRENCH took off in about 2010, and became a favourite wrench of many lock pickers. Unavailable for over a decade, we reached-out to some previous customers, and one came through! He sent us his original ZEDWRENCH, we got the drawings done and had them made. What a story!
Note the difference between this version and other zedwrenches, it's not only the twist in the main shaft, but the length of shaft before the spade. Imitations don't have that aspect, the main shaft connects directly to the spades, yet it's those added lengths that make this the favourite tension tool among many lock pickers, and a special tool in any pick set.
